Micropterix aureatella (Scopoli, 1763)
This is presumably a very rare moth in Nottinghamshire and rare through Bilberry (Vaccinium myrtillus) being the larval foodplant. Bilberry is restricted to Thieves Wood and also to a small area of Sherwood Forest CP, but on finding this moth while examining some larval spinnings on Bilberry at Theives Wood near Mansfield, I had no idea of the plant's significance to this moth at the time.
