Metzneria lappella (Linnaeus, 1758)
Status .....Probably more widespread in Nottinghamshire than the current distribution map would seem to suggest. It was always fairly regular to MV light in Sherwood Forest, but we never recorded it from Eakring for a number of years until one at Lound Wood in 2007. It does occur in gardens and so should be more widespread. The moth in the lower two photographs, was trapped by members of the Lound Moth Group in 2014.
