Elachista freyerella (Hübner, 1825) .... Formerly known as Cosmoites freyerella
Status .....Either under recorded or actually rare in the Nottinghamshire with very few traceable records. We have only recorded it on two occasions, which were Nottinghamshire's first official record of the moth from Hare Hill Wood in 2007 and more recently from Market Warsop in 2021. There is an earlier  record which is in the database of the Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust, of one taken at light from Misson Carr in 2004, but was never submitted to the county recorder.
