| Status
.....This moth was formerly thought to consist of two
species i.e. Deep-brown Dart and Northern Deep-brown Dart, but was
confirmed to be just a single species by DNA bar-coding in 2024. We have just a couple of records taken over the years and alhough Deep-brown Dart is
reportedly quite widespread across Nottinghamshire, it has never reached
our light many times. The
one in the lower photographs, was trapped by members of the
Lound Bird Club Moth Group and kindly provided to us by
Phil Cadman. |
