Bordered Sallow Pyrrhia umbra (Hufnagel, 1766)
Status .....This is a rare moth in Nottinghamshire and one with no previous records since 1995, until records came from within the same geographical part of the county in 2016 and 2021, with another from Stanton-on-the-Wolds in 2020. The moth of June 2016, came as a surprise to its recorders, when it was netted at dusk in a section of Hills and Holes SSSI by Dave and Marlene Morton in June 2016, who kindly took the time out to allow us the chance of photographing it.
