Song Thrush

Spring migrants are scarce, although slightly more obvious than Blackbird. Largest numbers occur in the Autumn, usually peaking in October, but migrants are often noted in September. Sometimes more obvious as influxes, rather than visibly on passage, but birds are recorded mixed with Redwing flocks. 22 moving south-east on 22nd October 2002, is a long established record day count.
