| Surprisingly uncommon as
a passage migrant in the Spring, when birds perhaps move
overnight more than they do in the Autumn. Large counts
often occur most years, with a peak occurring during
October, but large counts can easily be missed easily if
not on site. Sometimes peak arrival is in early November,
but this is dependant on the weather over the North Sea.
