| Rarely recorded moving
through in the Spring, but from evidence here, most
return Chaffinch migration is in March. Much more
prominent in the Autumn, when movement veers from
southerly in September, to predominantly westerly in
October. October 2008 was a record month and produced a
count of 120 west on 18th October. Chaffinch movement
continues during the first half of November. |
