Moths
The Puss Moth life-cycle

The Puss Moth used to be a common find back in the early 1980's, when I used to breed moths regularly before concentrating on some of the more difficult butterflies. Rearing them was easy and the larva eventually develops into a striking insect. This page depicts the growth and development of the Puss Moth larva, from eggs found on the site of the defunct Warsop Main Pit Top in May 2006.
