Red-tipped Clearwing Synanthedon formicaeformis (Esper, 1783)
Status .....Formerly rare in Nottinghamshire, but is now increasing annually. There are numerous known sites, including Attenborough NR, Netherfield and the Idle Valley NR, which is where we found this one nectaring at Water Mint at the visitor centre.
