Puss
Moth Cerura
vinula (Linnaeus, 1758) |
Status
.....The lack of records concerning adult moths
attracted to light is unusual and there are some experienced records who
have yet to see the adult moth. Personally, we have very few records to
light, but the larvae of this moth have been found to be common at most
of Nottinghamshire's former colliery sites. It remains rarely reported
to the county recorder, yet the impressive larva is quite easy to find,
although looking for the larvae of moths seems to be a
declining pastime. |
