Prays ruficeps (Heinemann, 1854)
Status ..... Once regarded as a dark form of Prays fraxinella, Prays ruficeps tends to fly slightly later in the year, although this is no guarantee of identification. P. ruficeps shows an all dark forewing, with no darker markings visible and a brown/orange head. Commonly recorded at MV light at Eakring, many old Eakring records of the dark form of P. fraxinella, are now thought to have related to P. ruficeps.
