Parornix scoticella (Stainton, 1850)
Status ..... A generally widespread moth across the UK and one of the commonest miners found on Whitebeam (Sorbus aria). There are several Nottinghamshire records and despite the difficulty with identifying adults of Parornix species, P. scoticella can be determined by their pure white palps.
