Micropterix tunbergella (Fabricius, 1784)
Status .....Recorded in Nottinghamshire most recently from Dyscarr Wood in the north of the county and from Wellow Park in May 2015. The very small size probably means that there may be an element of under-recording with Micropterix tunbergella, as there is with many micro moths. Several individuals were recorded at Dyscarr Wood by Pauline Bradford, who has kindly supplied us with the lower two photographs for use here.
