.....Uncommon across much of the UK, this moth is often very
common in damp, waterside sites just south of the county and despite
it's national status, was always thought to have passed unrecorded from
many a Trent-side gravel pit. But when
Nottinghamshire did eventually manage to get this moth on its species
list, the record was made even more surprising in view of the location
of the record, with a small colony inhabiting pond-side vegetation in a
Market Warsop garden in May 2026 (Chick, S.). |
