Glyphipterix thrasonella (Scopoli, 1763)
Status .....Uncommon across much of the UK, this moth is often very common in damp, waterside sites just south of the county and despite it's national status, was always thought to have passed unrecorded from many a Trent-side gravel pit. But when Nottinghamshire did eventually manage to get this moth on its species list, the record was made even more surprising in view of the location of the record, with a small colony inhabiting pond-side vegetation in a Market Warsop garden in May 2026 (Chick, S.).
