May 1st
A male Grasshopper Warbler was reeling at the southern end of Eakring Flash late evening.
 
May 2nd
The Grasshopper Warbler was still at Eakring Flash.
 
May 3rd
A Hobby was around Lound Wood for over an hour during the afternoon. Generally the area is rather quiet at the moment.
 
May 15th
The Grasshopper Warbler(s) remain at Eakring Flash, but Sedge Warblers (normally well in now) number only two singing males at the same site.
 
May 24th
A Curlew flew west over Eakring Flash early evening. Now four Sedge Warblers on site there and a male Blackcap was an unusual record.
 
May 30th
The pair of Mandarin are still present (seen late evening) and likely to be making another breeding attempt in the area.
