December 3rd
159 Pink-footed Geese flew low west over Eakring Flash at 10:49am, with 30 Teal there. Around the area were flocks of 141 Lapwing, 37 Golden Plover and good numbers of Meadow Pipits still around Eakring Flash. The White Stork was again present this morning in fields adjacent to Bilsthorpe pit top (per J Richardson)
 
December 4th
Very quiet this morning. The White Stork was again in the area centred around SK 663618. Nearby was a single Common Buzzard and 300 Fieldfare. 19 Redwing flew north-west.
 
December 11th
A Lesser-spotted Woodpecker at Eakring Flash briefly, was only the third record for the area. The bird was in the dead Willow at the southern-end, till flying off north-east towards Lound Wood.

Three Water Rail were around Eakring Flash and at Eakring Meadows, five Snipe were at Penny Pasture Common. Nearby, a large finch/bunting flock numbered at least 100 birds.

 
December 13th
Six Goosander flew south-west over Eakring Flash mid-morning. In the west of the area, the White Stork was still present in it's favoured field at SK 663618, with a Common Buzzard also hunting the same area. Two Golden Plover were in fields around Church Hill.
 
December 18th
183 Golden Plover were around the Church Hill area this morning, but often mobile. Small numbers of finches were moving south including four Redpoll and single Siskin and Brambling. A rare Winter record of Green Sandpiper, concerned one moving west over Eakring Flash, where Water Rails were still calling occasionally.
 
December 22nd
A minimum of 111 Golden Plover were in fields at Church Hill this morning.
 
December 26th
A female Goosander was at Eakring Flash briefly, before flying off high south. Other wildfowl there included seven Gadwall and 17 Teal. A Common Buzzard was over Lound Wood.
 
December 28th
23 Teal and nine Gadwall at Eakring Flash. Along The Beck at Eakring Meadows a small group of 10 Siskins were in Alders with 12 Goldfinches.
 
December 27th
A Brambling was in the pastures area this morning, with 30 Golden Plover around Church Hill.
