Large Red-belted Clearwing Synanthedon culiciformis (Linnaeus, 1758)
Status .....Has been found commonly on Budby South Forest in the early 2000's, but has since become scarce. A difficult Clearwing to get to come to pheremone lures and the only records we have had, have been of pupal exuvia (two records) and this adult found on Cow Parsley at Sherwood Forest CP on May 31st 2010.
