Bordered Sallow Pyrrhia umbra (Hufnagel, 1766)
Status .....This is a rare moth in Nottinghamshire with Grade 2 status and with no previous records for VC56 since 1995. The photographed moth came as something of a surprise to its recorders, when it was netted at dusk in a section of Hills and Holes SSSI by Dave and Marlene Morton in June 2016, who kindly took the time out to allow us the chance of photographing it.
