Red-tipped Clearwing Synanthedon formicaeformis (Esper, 1783)
Status .....Rare in Nottinghamshire, where it currently has Grade 1 status. There are numerous known sites, including Attenborough NR, Netherfield and the Idle Valley NR, which is where we found this one nectaring at Water Mint at the visitor centre.
