Xantholinus longiventris (Heer, 1839)
A relatively common Rove Beetle in Nottinghamshire, but less commonly recorded than Xantholinus linearis. Found in a range of habitats, from heathland to mature woodland, this is a nother beetle which is impossible to identify from photographs. There are several records for the Sherwood Forest area, including this one found at Sherwood Heath in March 2017.
