Xantholinus elegans (Olivier, 1795)
Seemingly not that common a species in Nottinghamshire, with just a handful of records coming from Trent Valley sites. The specimen illustrated was found at Stoke Bardolph in August 2023 by Nick and Samantha Brownley and there are older records from Bunny Old Wood in 1986 and from Langford Lowfields near Newark in 2012 (Barnes, C.). Most of the UK's records, tend to be from south-eastern and midland counties, but there are occasional records from other parts of the UK.
