Stenus providus (Erichson, 1839)
Found by grass tussock sampling on Budby South Forest in late March 2013, among many invertebrates, the sample contained several Stenus species. One species to turn up was Stenus providus. Stenus, like many Rove Beetles, always make for excellent photographic subjects, despite their generally small size.
