Sphaeridium bipustulatum (Fabricius, 1781)
Another member of the Hydrophilidae family and one slightly better marked, although this group is very difficult to identifiy. It is a common species found in cattle dung, from which several were found at Penny Pasture Common in August 2008. Also found regularly in Longhorn Cattle dung in Sherwood Forest.
