Scymnus frontalis (Fabricius, 1787)
A very small member of the Coccinellidae (Ladybirds), Scymnus frontalis is a predominantly southerly species, though there are several Sherwood Forest records. The one photographed was found along a sparsely vegetated field margin, situated on sandy ground between Edwinstowe and Market Warsop in September 2014.
