Uncommon and
perhaps even could be considered to be rare in
Nottinghamshire, Phyllobrotica quadrimaculata is
widespread (although not common) across much of southern
parts of the UK. There are historical records from the
Colwick area, but the only recent county records appear
to have come from Clumber and Beeston Sidings.
Nottinghamshire's most recent record was from
Attenborough NR, where the individual in the accompanying
photograph was found by Sean Browne, who kindly allowed
