Skullcap Leaf Beetle Phyllobrotica quadrimaculata (Linnaeus, 1758)
Uncommon and perhaps even could be considered to be rare in Nottinghamshire, Phyllobrotica quadrimaculata is widespread (although not common) across much of southern parts of the UK. There are historical records from the Colwick area, but the only recent county records appear to have come from Clumber and Beeston Sidings. Nottinghamshire's most recent record was from Attenborough NR, where the individual in the accompanying photograph was found by Sean Browne, who kindly allowed us to use his photograph.
