Orchesia minor (Walker, 1837)
This is a small species, smaller than the more frequently recorded Orchesia undulata and only measuring around 2.5-3.75mm in length. The elytra and pronotum are without any real markings, so care has to be taken with identification, particularly as Orchesia micans, was recorded at Sherwood Forest in 1961 and is somewhat similar. The specimen illustrated was found at Sherwood Forest, by Nick and Samantha Brownley in November 2025.
