Mocyta fungi (Gravenhorst, 1806)
A tiny Rove Beetle (Staphylinoidea) which was found under the damp bark of an old Beech log at Nettleworth Manor in late February 2009. There are several similar species, so an accurate ID is often difficult with this group. Length around 3.5-4mm.
