Coeliodes rubicundus (Herbst, 1795)
This tiny weevil is abundant throughout the Sherwood Forest area and probably also across Nottinghamshire. With a length of only 2mm, just about the only way to find C. ribicundus is by using a sweep net on the lower branches of Birch.
