Calathus fuscipes (Goeze, 1777)
Another ground beetle found during the Sherwood Forest Coleoptera survey, but C. fuscipes is common across much of Nottinghamshire. It frequents a wide range of habitats, including parks and gardens. Similar to C. rotundicollis, this beetle has a more stockier appearance and has a much less metallic black colouration. Length 9mm.
