Aphrodes bicinctus (Schrank, 1776)
A less common species than the slightly larger Aphrodes makarovi, Aphrodes bicinctus shares the same preference for well vegetated sites, where it can be found on a range of plants. Identification difficulties mean that records are few and so this is not a common Leafhopper in Nottinghamshire. There are known records from Netherfield Lagoons, Gedling Pit Top (now Gedling CP) and along the Southwell Trail at Farnsfield.
