Aphodius foetens
Belonging to the Scarabaeidae group of Dung Beetles, A. foetens is one of the more colourful species and is described as being a fairly local species, with a length of 6-7mm. This one was found in cattle dung along a footpath at Clipstone Old Quarter in July 2008, but we found another at Hills and Holes SSSI in August 2008.
