Amara eurynota (Panzer, 1796)
A common ground beetle (Carabidae), frequenting most dry habitats. There are several other similarly coloured species, which are a very difficult group to identifiy, although Amara eurynota is the largest. The one in the photographs was found at Warsop Main Pit Top in April 2009 and measured approximately 11.5mm.
