Altica oleracea (Linnaeus, 1758)
Altica oleracea is a small, colourful beetle, measuring about 4mm in length and belongs to the Chrysomelidae family. There are several species of Altica in the UK and all are very difficult to seperate on external characters. This one turned up in our own Market Warsop garden, in mid-March 2009.
