Blunt-tailed Snake Millipede Cylindroiulus punctatus (Leach, 1815)
A very common Millipede, usually found under logs or loose bark in wooded areas, but it is by no means confined to such habitats across Nottinghamshire. There are several similar species, so identification is not always straight-forward and this species should always be suspected at first.
