Brachydesmus superus (Brade-Birks & Brade-Birks, 1918)
Most Millipedes and Centipedes are extremely difficult to identify to species level and Brachdesmus superus is no exception. One of the Flat-backed Millipedes, B. superus is a widespread and fairly common species. It is usually found under logs in wooded areas, as were this mating pair found early in 2012 at Lound Wood, Eakring and at Kirton Wood in April 2014..
