Stenus brunnipes (Stephens, 1833)
Stenus brunnipes is one of numerous similar species, a factor often quite typical of the large family of Staphylinidae. This is a small species measuring around 3.5mm and was found over-wintering within the leaves of Bulrush at Meden Vale near Market Warsop in late March 2013.
