Stenocorus meridianus (Linnaeus, 1758)
Another longhorn beetle (Cerambycidae), Stenocorus meridianus is a very large species and one not often met with in Nottinghamshire. We have just a handful of records, recording it on a couple of occasions from Wellow Wood and most recently from Warsop Wood in 2020. The colour can vary from chestnut brown to grey, but either way, this is a very impressive species.
