Quedius nitipennis (Stephens, 1833)
Quedius nitipennis is a small Rove Beetle (Staphylinidae) of which there are over 1000 species in the UK. They generally inhabit leaf litter and and other decaying matter and are good fliers. This one was found at Market Warsop in November 2008. Rove Beetles are extremely difficult to identify to species' level.
