Quedius lateralis (Gravenhorst, 1802)
A fairly large Rove Beetle, this Quedius lateralis was found under a well rotten log among an area of Pines at Clipstone Old Quarter in late April 2013. Many of the Rove Beetles (Staphylinidae) are notoriously difficult to identify and few can be ID'd in the field.
