Oulema obscura (Stephens, 1831)
A small leaf beetle, which was found over-wintering underneath the bark of felled Willow at Eakring Meadows in early March 2010. Oulema obscura was originally thought to be a fairly common species in Notts, but there have been very few forthcoming records in recent years. There are a number of very similar species, to make any ID slightly difficult, including Lema cyanella. Length around 3mm.
