Olisthopus rotundatus (Paykull, 1790)
This ground beetle was found commonly in small numbers under wood and stones, on an open sandy area of land adjacent to Vexation Lane near Edwinstowe in August 2012. Olisthopus rotundatus is common and widespread across much of the UK. Another ground beetle which is less inclined to run away quickly, allowing photographs to be taken.
