Macrosteles sexnotatus (Fallén, 1806)
One of several very similar Leafhoppers, with a patchy distribution over much of the UK's southern counties. There are few confirmed modern records of Macrosteles sexnotatus for Nottinghamshire, probably due to the difficulties in identification of this genus and the current lack of interest in recording Leafhoppers. The one below was swept from an area of grass-dominated heathland on Sherwood Heath SSSI in early September 2017.
