Lochmaea crataegi (Forster, 1771)
This small leaf beetle is found on Hawthorn, with greatest numbers during the Spring when they can be beaten from the flowers. L. crataegi is described as being quite local and this one was found in Sherwood Forest in early September 2008. Length 4-5mm.
