Hydroporus memnonius (Nicolai, 1822)
Despite being a difficult group to identify, it is still surprising that Water Beetles have been largely overlooked throughout at Sherwood Forest NNR, apart from the remarkable recording efforts of Bob Merritt. Bob single-handedly added many species to the Sherwood Forest species list and our knowledge of their distribution in Nottinghamshire, is purely down to him. Widespread in Nottinghamshire.
