Hydroporus memnonius (Nicolai, 1822)
Despite being a difficult group to identify, it is still surprising that Water Beetles have been virtually overlooked throughout at Sherwood Forest NNR. Consequently, many species such as this very small Hydroporus memnonius, often seem to be new to the NNR. This one actually flew down onto a forest path in the Sherwood Forest CP in September 2009.
