Harpalus tardus (Panzer, 1796)
One of several similar species, which are difficult to separate initially. Around 11mm in length, this Harpalus tardus was photographed in the gardens of Sherwood Forest Farm Park, near Market Warsop in September 2008, where it was found to be quite common.
