Dorytomus longimanus (Forster, 1771)
A brownish weevil, which also has both light and dark forms. Dorytomus longimanus is found on Black Poplar and a key feature to begin identifying the male of this species from other Dorytomus weevils is the long 1st leg length, which is not entirely obvious from the male shown in the bottom four photgraphs. A dark form female was found under bark at Meden Vale at the end of January 2013 and the male was found at Nettleworth Manor in early June 2010.
