Conomelus anceps (Germar, 1821)
A tiny species, which is common in areas of damp heathland where it occurs on Juncus. On Budby South Forest, large numbers can be swept from suitable locations, but it is found at a number of locations within the wider Sherwood Forest area and is certainly under recorded. It seems that rarely, a brachypterus (fully-winged) form occurs, of which we have only recorded once.
