Bolitobius cingulatus (Mannerheim, 1830)
This colourful Rove Beetle (Staphylinidae) was found under a log at Sherwood Forest in October 2008. With a length of 10mm, this is one of two Bolitobius species found in the UK and like most Staphylinidae, proved very difficult to photograph. Length 10mm.
