Bembidion lunulatum (Geoffroy in Fourcroy, 1785)
This is another very small Ground Beetle, usually found in areas of damp, bare ground close to water. The one photographed was found in just such habitat, at the site of the former Bilsthorpe Colliery in late March 2018. Most Nottinghamshire records have come from along the Trent Valley, with few other records from other parts of the county.
